Domestic and international shipping are made with Australia Post complete with tracking and sign on delivery.

RETURNS POLICY

Refunds and Exchanges

At By Alexandra Jewellery, your satisfaction is important to us.

If any jewellery is faulty we will meet our statutory obligations to provide a remedy. However, By Alexandra Jewellery is not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully.

All returned jewellery must be in an unworn and new condition.

All returned jewellery is subject to inspection before a refund is processed. We will refund you the same way that you initially paid for your order, excluding any delivery charges, within 15 business days of us receiving your returned item. 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to:

  • a replacement or refund for a major failure;

  • compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage; and

  • have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

How to Return Your Item

Please:

  • ensure all items are in their original packaging;

  • bubble wrap and pack your item(s) in a padded secure bag;

  • write a detailed explanation for the return and email your explanation to us at sales@byalexandrajewellery.com along with:

    • your invoice number; and 

    • purchase date;

  • ship the returned item(s) via an Australia Post traceable method

All shipping return charges must be pre-paid by you. We cannot accept C.O.D deliveries. We also require that returned items are insured during delivery (such as Australia Post 'Extra Cover') to safeguard against loss.

Reasons for Returns

By Alexandra Jewellery will not accept returns for any reason other than if the goods are faulty, after 10 business days from the dispatch date.

We are not obligated to refund an item due to a change of mind.

We reserve the right to refuse any replacement requests if we believe the items have been intentionally damaged or misused.

We do not take responsibility for lost jewellery or tarnishing (refer below).

Tarnishing 

All metals will tarnish over time. However, this will happen much faster if they have contact with agents such as perfume, salty air, sulfur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin pH. The amount of tarnishing (oxidation) that occurs depends on your skin and jewellery care habits. 

Tarnishing of this nature is solely your responsibility and is not a valid reason for a return or a replacement.

Governing Law

This returns policy is governed by the laws in force in New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

Consent

By using this website you are agreeing to the terms of this returns policy. We reserve the right to modify our returns policy as our business needs require. We will post such changes on our website, after which, your continued use of the website shall be deemed to be your agreement to the modified terms.
